State of the Art, Lavish Living in Boston

November 12, 2011 |

The city of Boston recently provided $50M to support infrastructure on the Waterfront at Fan Pier, encouraging investors to further develop the area and cultivate projects for luxury, state of the art projects. Waterside Place is slated to begin construction this spring, adding 326 apartment units to the Waterfront area and prompting other retail, restaurant, and office building development.  As these homes in Boston are being built, the question that comes up is “who are the buyers?”

The buyers are coming from all walks of life: from well-to-do empty nesters to successful young professionals; and even, interestingly enough, young families with children. The young families are generally very tech savvy and are often looking for all the bells and whistles. They prefer living in Boston luxury condos with highly service-oriented amenities.

Buyers who don’t want to worry about the routine hassle of raking leaves, landscaping, snow shoveling, household repairs, or other maintenance issues taking time away from spending it with their family, opt to live in  a hassle free environment and make their everyday life more pleasant and care free. They have more time during their free hours to devote to family, travelling and other pleasurable activities. “If developers build Boston luxury condos, buyers will come!”

Over 20 years ago, when new developments were beginning to break ground in Boston, people never imagined that there would be enough buyers. But residents came and took advantage of the multitude of activities in the city.

So, as buyers are becoming more aware of  Boston city living advantages, these luxurious, state of the art projects are filling up quickly with residents. This makes the Waterfront neighborhood exponentially more electrifying and dynamic.
