Luxury Buildings Now in the Boston Suburbs
March 19, 2016Due to high demand for Boston luxury real estate buildings that attract renters as well as buyers from a vast demographic cross section, developers are duplicating the same type of construction in the suburbs. Developers are building to meet the demand.
High end buildings offering 24-hour concierge, fitness center and other great amenities have been in demand for sometime in Boston. These buildings with Boston luxury homes also attract empty nesters with large homes in the suburbs who would like to live in full service buildings with the comfort and amenities that their single family homes lacked.
Moving from the suburbs into these Boston luxury real estate buildings provides not only the services buyers need, but they also can walk around the city without having to drive. At the same time, there are those who would like to move into these buildings, but at the same time, they don’t want to change the environment they are familiar with. In some cases, buyers/renters have moved into the city, but the unfamiliar territory is unsettling for them and they move back after a year or two. They wished that similar Boston luxury home buildings providing similar services would exist in the suburbs. Their prayers have been answered.
More and more Boston luxury real estate developers are thinking along those lines and creating super luxury buildings in towns surrounding Boston. For example, Brookline is getting one such building in Coolidge Corner after such a long time which will provide underground parking, 24-hr concierge , gym etc. Long time Brookline resident with deep roots, like many other towns, prefer to stay in the familiar playgrounds rather than relocating and start anew. The surge of these types of luxury buildings in surrounding towns will, somewhat, change the migration into Boston.
