Hayward Place Breaks Ground: More Boston Luxury Condos

November 19, 2011 |

A great new addition to the Boston luxury real estate market and its high-end residential towers is the Millennium Partners Hayward Place that broke ground on Tuesday. The luxurious glass and stone 15-story tower is being built across from the Ritz Carlton, near downtown crossing – a centrally located, vibrant Boston neighborhood.

This $220 million development, designed by Handle Architectural firm in NY, will house 256 new luxury residences and provide 9,700-square feet of retail space. It’s an incredible improvement to the area -especially since the property was being used as a parking lot.

The one- two- and three-bedroom residences will be a combination of condominiums and apartments with the highest level of finishes and amenities. Hayward Place development is the second large-scale residential project to break ground in the neighborhood recently. The Kensington project, located nearby at the edges of Chinatown and the Theater District, will add 381 units to the area and 110 garage parking spaces.

“This is a neighborhood now, a place that didn’t exist in this form before,” said Anthony Pangaro, principal of Millennium Partners-Boston. “The Combat Zone is a name that has faded...It’s basically gone now.” Millennium Partners completed the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences in 2001 and 2002, and has certainly been instrumental, single handedly, in revitalizing the area known as Midtown.

Midtown is a “happening” place to live. It’s a short walk to all the theaters where you can catch a touring company or a headlining comedian, and many great restaurants are in the Boston neighborhood, including Kennedy’s Midtown and Omni Parker House. Nearby downtown shopping provides relaxing retail therapy, and you’re only a hop and skip away from boutiques in Beacon Hill and the financial district. It’s a smart investment in Boston luxury real estate.

Hayward Place is set to be completed in 2013 and will make a positive impact on the area. Other new developments are already underway in Boston, in case you’re looking for a place now!
