Copley Place Retail Expansion & Boston Luxury Real Estate Addition

September 7, 2013 |

At present, Copley Place in the Back Bay houses an array of high end luxury boutiques, gourmet restaurants, Neiman Marcus department store, The Westin & the Marriott Hotels in addition to an office tower. Among the exciting new proposed projects in Boston is the plan to expand Copley Place.

Bevy of New Boston Luxury Homes In the Heart of Town

The proposed rendering, developed by the Simon Team in collaboration with architectural firm Elkus Manfredi, calls for a modern glass tower housing 109 Boston luxury condominiums and 433 apartments. An expanded atrium will provide additional retail space. These Boston luxury real estate properties will come with parking (116 parking spaces total). The number of parking spaces for the apartment units will vary throughout the day.

Like any new tower construction in the city, nearby residents are concerned about the wind and shadow effect, not to mention congestion and increased traffic. Due to the floor reconfiguration plan, the shadow impact will be reduced in the area. Although this Boston luxury real estate project is only in the planning and proposal stages, this new development project has been highly anticipated. We’re all waiting for it to pass through all the hurdles of approval. It will certainly be a nice addition to the Back Bay skyline.
