Different Strokes for Different Boston Luxury Real Estate Folks
July 19, 2015The beauty of buying and selling Boston luxury real estate is that there is always something for everybody regardless of taste and personal preferences. Whether looking to buy a house or condominiums, we all know well enough that size and style (not to mention the price) are the deciding factor, then amenities are considered.
Boston luxury homes in high rises are becoming more and more in demand, and homeowners are feeling more comfortable in living in a building that has the comfort and services that make their life easier. However, I find that there’s increasing demand as well for having the same comfort and services, but in smaller luxury buildings with some of the old word charm and detail that Boston luxury homes can offer.
Developers of larger brownstone buildings in the heart of Boston’s luxury neighborhoods are offering large luxury condos with all the bells and whistles in smaller buildings than high-rise towers. These properties often come with concierge, valet parking, fitness room, wine cellar or library (if the building can accommodate).
I find this scenario is especially popular among Boston luxury real estate buyers who are selling a large home either in the suburbs or in the city, but mostly suburban buyers, who are looking for more intimate living arrangement with only a few units in the building, but offering the ease and luxury of having garage or valet parking and some of the amenities of the larger buildings. There are a handful of such buildings in the Back Bay, and Beacon Hill that are worth visiting.
