Boston Luxury Businesses Are Booming

March 8, 2014 |

As the economy is getting stronger, consumers are becoming more optimistic about spending money. Couple this with the influx of international population, and luxury businesses are expanding in size and doubling their sale volume.

Boston Luxury Homes Surrounded by High End Commercial Real Estate
Boston luxury real estate is changing rapidly. Once having had the reputation of being “provincial,” Boston is now getting the reputation of being super cosmopolitan. There are fabulous, world-renowned restaurants mushrooming everywhere with notable chefs and high priced menu items. Today, a $65 steak is nothing out of the ordinary. The always packed and fairly pricey Menton restaurant's chef, Barbara Lynch, is now the only female in the country with a Relais et Chateau distinction.

Couture goods and boutiques are opening up everywhere, and Boston luxury real estate is nearby. To name a few, Chanel Boutique recently opened an opulent store on Newbury Street. Hermes at Heritage on the Park is tripling its size, and Neiman Marcus is adding more square footage to their store. The local clientele has become generally more upscale.

People used to travel to NY to shop, but this is no longer the case. You can find anything you want at your finger tips in Boston, from specialty gourmet markets, fabulous cheese and wine shops to cutting edge hair salons. Regardless of what Boston luxury real estate neighborhood you live in, residents have all they need without having to venture too far from home - this is the definition of city living.
