Boston Luxury Real Estate Neighborhoods: 101
Unless buyers have limitations on price range, proximity to work, or school, it is important for a new comer to see Boston luxury homes in ALL areas of the city then decide which neighborhood meets their needs and life style the best.
If you’re a student or commuter, it’s obviously important to be near public transportation and convenient to shops and vendors. Fortunately, most neighborhoods of Boston are very accessible to transportation. Boston has been named the No. 1 Most Walkable City in the US!
The Waterfront, the North End, Midtown or Downtown are great areas to live if you want to walk to school / work, and there’s enough excitement with all the new developments in the area. Check out my listing at The W in Midtown recently featured on WCVB. The Waterfront / Seaport and the North End are especially great in the warmer months with the Harbor Walk at your door step and all kinds of fun summer activities.
South End is fabulous if you’re a “foodie” with its incredible, world-renowned restaurants mushrooming all over. Its sidewalks are also filled with art galleries, designer warehouses and specialty shops, which add to the vibrancy of this neighborhood.
Beacon Hill and Back Bay offer great possibilities of space, elegance, luxury, history and comfort with easy access to shops and restaurants. So many breathtaking, majestic brownstones are located in this bustling area.
So, if you’re new to the city, keep an open mind and explore. Even if you only have heard of one particular area, walk around during the day, or evening hours and get a feel for the neighborhood. Then you're ready to pin down your ideal area and dive in to your Boston luxury real estate search.
